Project Manager – Industrial & Chemical Engineering

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in chemistry or chemical engineering to lead multidisciplinary industrial projects from feasibility and design to successful implementation and commissioning within a complex production environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of CAPEX projects in areas such as: Chemical and ingredients production Compounding and formulation processes Utilities, waste-water treatment, and laboratory facilities
- Coordinate all project phases justification, design, validation, and commissioning
- Ensuring technical robustness and full compliance with EHS standards.
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams and external stakeholders, including engineering consultants, suppliers, and contractors.
- Develop technical specifications, cost estimations, and project documentation.
- Supervise and optimize production processes with a scientific and analytical approach rooted in chemistry and process control.
- Conduct risk analyses, HAZOP, and safety studies related to chemical installations.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in full compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Prepare steering committees and follow up on project KPIs.
Profile
- Education: Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Chemistry (HES/EPF or equivalent).
- A certification in Project Management (IPMA, PMI or similar) is an asset.
- Experience: Minimum 5–10 years of experience managing engineering or process-related projects in a chemical, pharmaceutical, or industrial production environment.
- Solid understanding of chemical production processes, mixing technologies, utilitiessystems, and industrial safety (ATEX).
- Experience working in matrix organizations and multicultural environments. Technical Skills Expertise in chemical or process installations. Familiarity with utilities production/distribution, HVAC, fire safety, and civil engineering aspects. Sound knowledge of project management methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM).
- Financial acumen in CAPEX/OPEX management. Proficiency with Microsoft Project, SAP, and Office tools. Languages
- French: fluent English: fluent
