Data Architect
Role OverviewAs a Lead Data Architect, you will partner with senior stakeholders to design and modernize enterprise data ecosystems that span multiple solutions such as MDM, CRM, ERP, and Cloud Data Warehouses. You will define pragmatic, enforceable architecture standards and guide clients on their modernization journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Data Architecture – Design and modernize complex system landscapes, ensuring seamless integration across diverse platforms.
- Cloud Data Platform Leadership – Architect and implement scalable, high-performance cloud data platforms, covering data modelling, integration, transformation pipelines, DevOps, and AI-driven operations. Lead multi-location engineering teams to deliver robust solutions.
- Integrated Solutions – Develop integration strategies between core systems (e.g., MDM, CRM) and cloud platforms, as well as AI/Gen AI platforms.
- Market Presence – Represent the architecture capability at events, conferences, and client discussions to strengthen market positioning.
- Team Development – Mentor junior team members, grow internal expertise, and set strategic priorities across Swiss, nearshore, and offshore teams.
Requirements
- Experience: 4+ years as a Data Architect with leadership in designing and implementing complex cloud-based ecosystems.
- Technical Expertise: Engineering background with at least one end-to-end data platform implementation (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Strategic Influence: Proven ability to guide architectural decisions and influence both business and IT stakeholders.
- Engineering Best Practices: Skilled in advising data engineers on coding standards and quality, with experience in tools like SonarQube and AI coding assistants.
- Database Knowledge: Proficient across relational, NoSQL, and graph-based models.
- Bonus: Experience packaging solutions as Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
